Refund Policy

Terra Noir operates on a voluntary "Pay What You Want" model. You choose the amount yourself — starting from ₹1 — so all payments are made with full awareness. We are fair and transparent about when refunds apply.
1. Nature of Payments
Payments made on this website are voluntary contributions to an independent artist. Because you choose the amount yourself with no pricing pressure, there are no surprise charges, hidden fees, subscriptions, or recurring payments of any kind.
2. Cancellation Before Payment
- If you opened Razorpay but haven't completed the payment, simply close the window — no amount is deducted
- Razorpay may show a temporary authorization hold on your bank account — this auto-reverses within 3–5 business days and was never actually charged
3. Refund Policy — When Refunds Apply
As a general rule, completed voluntary contributions are non-refundable because you chose the amount yourself and digital files (once delivered) cannot be returned.
However, refunds will be processed in these situations:
- Duplicate payment made due to a technical error
- Amount debited but Razorpay shows the transaction as failed
- Digital file was promised but not delivered within 72 hours
- A system error charged an incorrect amount different from what you entered
Refunds are not applicable for: change of mind, voluntary contributions where the amount was chosen by the buyer, or after a digital file has been successfully delivered.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email hello@terranoir.in within 7 days of the payment date
- Subject line: Refund Request — [Your Razorpay Payment ID]
- Your Razorpay Payment ID starts with pay_ and is in your payment confirmation email
- Briefly explain the issue
- We respond within 3 business days and initiate the refund if approved
5. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved and initiated via Razorpay:
- UPI refunds: typically instant to 2 business days
- Debit/Credit card refunds: 5–10 business days (depends on your bank)
- Net Banking refunds: 3–7 business days
- Wallet refunds: 1–3 business days
The refund always goes back to the original payment method used.
6. Failed Payments
If your payment failed (network error, bank decline, timeout) and an amount still appears debited, this is a temporary pre-authorization hold by your bank — not an actual charge. It auto-reverses within 5–7 business days. If it does not reverse, email us with your payment details and we will coordinate with Razorpay to resolve it.
7. Chargeback Policy
We strongly encourage contacting us directly before filing a chargeback with your bank. We maintain complete Razorpay transaction records and will cooperate fully with any bank dispute. Fraudulent chargebacks on genuine voluntary payments are taken seriously under applicable Indian law.
